Summer Romance in Style
Summertime love is the love that never ends. Wellington wedding planner, Britt from The Wedding Coach, wanted to emphasise that eternal love in a display of fresh, bright beauty alongside a number of talented vendors that would bring her vision to life. “I wanted to create and style a shoot that felt like true love,” she shared, “and to display all the elements that it brings such as romance, fun, and playfulness.” This balmy theme weaved through every element of the shoot, starting with the incredible venue, Anam Cara Gardens based in Otaki, that is surrounded by never-ending greenery in full bloom during this season. They took advantage of the outdoor gazebo for the reception seating, as this would be perfect on a summer’s evening for wining and dining amidst a cool breeze. Ashley from Made Lovely Hire supplied the props and furniture for the shoot - a stunning selection to choose from. “I selected items to bring our summer romance theme to life in all areas of the shoot, and it worked perfectly,” Britt said. “Our signage was in hot pink, and it was amazing. Jamey from Daydream put this colour and font together, and I loved it!” The flourishing flower display on the ceremony mesh wall, the flowers for the reception table, and the bridal bouquet were all thoughtfully put together by Rowan from Love Stomp Floral, using a dream palette of summery tones featuring whites, pinks, yellows, and touches of greenery. Bridget from Cake It Forward supplied their innovative cake, alongside a dozen statement-making cupcakes that ideally fit the mood. The models wore Mandatory and Astra Bridal. “That pink suit was an absolute hit on our groom,” Britt said. “And the wedding gowns were modern, romantic, and perfectly highlighted our bride’s beauty - further enhanced by the soft, romantic makeup by Zoe and hair by Rachel.” “As for the photo and video team - or should I say, dream team - Jaymee, our photographer captured this shoot exactly as I envisioned it,” Britt said. “The vibe was natural and relaxed throughout the shoot.” Jaymee Photography has an on-trend, creative flair when it comes to wedding photography, bringing out the right colours with the right contrast, resulting in images that are as mystical as they are expressive. Karl, the videographer had a calming presence and blended into the background as he got everything on camera - exactly what you’d want on your wedding day. “Everyone was such a treat to work with. The shoot ended up being as bright as I had imagined it,” she concluded, “and they made all the difference.”
