Anna and Sam

Anna and Sam celebrated their love at Wellington's Boomrock, surrounded by 40 of their nearest and dearest. We got to chat with the beautiful bride about their magical day. — What is your favourite memory from the big day? My favourite memory is when Sam shared his vows. He hadn't decided if he was going to write his own vows or not. The plan was that if he didn't want to write his own, he could copy mine. Walking down the aisle, I still had no clue if he had written vows or not but it didn't seem to matter to me. It turned out that he had written his vows the night before, and they were better than mine! We were both so happy and calm the whole day. It felt like nothing mattered besides our love for each other. — What do you consider the best wedding investment you made? There are three things that I consider to be the best investments. 1.0 - The dress. I blew the budget on my dress because as a curvy girl I really struggled to find a dress that I felt comfortable and confident in. Feeling beautiful on our special day was worth blowing the dress budget for! 2.0 - The Venue. We had our wedding at Boomrock. The service was impeccable, the location was breathtaking and the staff were amazing to work with. They served delicious food and had fun activities for the guests. They took a lot of the stress out of it for us. 3.0 The photographer. We feel that having a great photographer is super important. It makes all the difference having someone who makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera. At the end of it all we will always have beautiful photos to look back on. — What is one thing you wish you had known before planning and having your wedding? Plan well in advance to reduce stress. Don't sweat the small stuff, always remind yourself of the bigger picture - you get to marry your best friend!
