On the most important day of your life, it's worth taking a little extra time to make sure it kicks off on a high. In this article, we bring you 5 tips to ensure that your wedding morning is stylish, organised, and stress-free.

For a morning to look good, it’s essential that it feels good too! Your main priority should be keeping yourself happy, relaxed and free from stress.

You can read our 12 best tips for a stress-free wedding morning here. One that’s particularly relevant to keeping it chic is a tidy and clutter-free location. While you definitely don’t want an empty room, fewer visual distractions can make for better getting ready photographs and also provide a more relaxing setting for all that prep.

2/ Build in time for the things that make you feel your best

More often than not, looking good starts from within. Embrace whatever it is that will help you feel energised and glowing the morning of the wedding. Exercise, whether jogging, yoga or just a brisk walk, can make all the difference to some brides. For others, squeezing in quality time with family or crafting a playlist full of mood-boosting music does the trick!

3/ Choose a stylish getting ready outfit

If you’re having getting ready shots you’ll want to be camera ready from the moment you get together with your bridal party for hair and make up. Even if there won’t be a photographer present, there’s no occasion like your wedding day to justify buying and wearing some luxurious loungewear!

There are no right or wrongs here, but it’s a good idea to avoid wearing something you’ll need to pull over your head. Things like button ups, robes and zips will all avoid messing up your carefully-styled wedding hair. Some classic choices are gorgeous robes that match with your bridesmaids or a preppy pyjama shirt, but anything you feel great in and that’s comfortable works!

4/ Mix in other special items

A chic look doesn’t have to end with your clothing! Choose a gorgeous tote or suitcase as your wedding day or night bag. Wear a lovely pair of slippers, or a dressing gown for a colder day. Choose a pretty handheld or compact mirror and your best makeup bag to really elevate the getting ready process, or find gorgeous personalised hangers for your dress and your bridesmaids’ dresses. For even more luxury, you could even splash out on fresh flowers to spruce up the room you’ll use to get ready.

5/ Serve decadent food and drink

If you plan to serve drinks, breakfast or snacks to your loved ones the morning of, it can be fun to make it something with a ‘wow’ factor. Depending on the time you’ll be getting ready, this might be for breakfast, brunch, lunch or just snacks to keep energy levels up. A mini breakfast bar is an extravagant take on this (perhaps yoghurt and fruit, muesli or waffles). Or you could serve up an afternoon tea complete with finger sandwiches and scones on cake tier stands. For a simpler approach, just choose slightly more luxurious snacks like chocolate-dipped strawberries or miniature pastries.

The same can be done for drinks, if you prefer. Create a DIY mimosa bar and offer some cute garnishes for your drinks like flavoured ice cubes, fruit slices or pretty stirrers. For an especially glamorous look, add a gold sugar rim to the champagne flutes or cocktail glasses!
