As owners of caravan bar Hello Audrey, we are lucky to take part in all kinds of weddings. We know how to keep guests happy. From our experience, the most successful weddings are those that reflect your personal style and where your guests have been considered throughout the day.
Here are 8 tips for keeping your guests happy and giving them a day to remember.

We love the growing trend of having a welcome area at your ceremony, with a nice cold drink waiting for when your guests arrive. Using large glass drink dispensers is perfect – they are self serve and can be made up ahead of time. Plus, you can make some really delicious concoctions. From fruit infused water to punch or iced tea, get creative!
This is something that guests really love – and so do we! Celebrate with a glass of champagne with the bride and groom following the ceremony and have some canapés ready to serve. Nothing makes people happy like food! There are so many amazing ideas for cocktail hour and it’s a great opportunity to do something fun that reflects your personality.
During cocktail hour and while your photos are being taken, it’s a great idea to have some outdoor lawn games for people to play. It creates an instant relaxed, fun atmosphere and helps your guests to mingle and get to know one another. You don’t have to spend a fortune, there are plenty of rental places that hire out games at reasonable rates.
If you’re looking for wow factor that’s something extra special, why not hire a caravan bar? Perfect for serving drinks at your ceremony and reception, your guests will love it! Caravan bars are really practical if you’re at a venue that may not have the facilities you need. If you want the professional touch, go with the hired bar staff option to make your guests feel well looked after.
During the ceremony, parasols can be a really nice touch to offer some shade if it’s extra hot, not to mention a great photo prop. It can get chilly once the sun goes down, even in summer. We love seeing cosy blankets all rolled up in a basket ready to be used if a guest gets cold. Consider adding a cute little sign so people know they can snuggle up.
I know this may sound crazy and over the top, but in fact it’s pure brilliance! Leaving a pretty basket in the bathroom with a few necessities is a thoughtful touch. Include a box of plasters for sore feet that have been dancing for hours, a little lippy to freshen up, some tissues, panadol and maybe even some jandals. If you’re outdoors, consider adding some bug spray or sunscreen. Guests will love you for it!
